Anyone can ride the Skyliner! You do not have to present any hotel reservation information in order to get to the resorts accessible by gondolas. That said, you can only park at any of the resorts if you are a registered guest, attending a convention or have a dining reservation.

How to get on Skyliner for free
Just like the Monorails or the buses, you can get on the Disney Skyliner without paying anything. There are no tickets required for the Disney Gondolas either, just walk up to the station, get in line and get in. In fact, riding the Skyliner is one of our favorite Free Things to Do in Walt Disney World!
Can you just ride the Skyliner for fun
As long as you can get to one of the stations, you can ride the Skyliner for fun. You cannot stay on the Skyliner round trip though, you will have to get off and back on at a stop. Luckily, this is rarely going to involve any wait at all (unless you're riding for fun at park opening or closing time).

According to WDW News Today, this is the third time Disney gondolas have crashed. The first reportedly happened in 2019 at the Riviera Resort station. The second was reportedly just months ago at Disney's Hollywood Studios station.

PRO TIP – If you time your Skyliner ride back to your resort between 9pm – 10pm, you'll be able to watch the fireworks show during your ride. But always check for your particular day, as this sometimes changes.
